Throughout the course of history, oppressive leaders have regrettably outnumbered those who govern benevolently.

To compile a list of 34 of the cruelest dictators of all time, 24/7 Tempo reviewed dozens of historical sources such as History.com and Britannica.

This compilation covers millennia, ranging from historical despots like Phalaris of Acragas to contemporary dictators like Hitler and Stalin. While the majority are male, a handful of women, including China’s Wu Zetian, are featured for ruthlessly eliminating rivals.

Regrettably, our compilation suggests that leaders have not become nicer over time. A significant portion of the entries, precisely half, originates from the 20th century, featuring some of the most infamous figures in history. Skeleton of Four Breasted Woman Discovered

Recent renovations of a section of  Route 80 westbound have uncovered the remains of what archeologists believe to be the first solid evidence of the legendary “four breasted woman” spoken of in Lenni Lenape folklore. Dr. Kevin Spitzkiel, adjunct professor of archeology at the nearby Centenary College stated “This is the breakthrough we’ve been looking for all these years. Python swallows woman at plantation in Indonesia

A woman was found dead in the stomach of a 7-metre python at a rubber plantation where she worked in Indonesia, according to local reports. The woman, identified as Jahrah, 54, went to work on the plantation in Jambi province, on the island of Sumatra, on Sunday morning and her husband reported her missing when she did not return home that evening. Searching for her on Sunday night, her husband discovered her sandals, headscarf, jacket and the tools she used at work, and called for others to help, police told local media. The following morning, a python was spotted nearby. When the security team and residents conducted a search around the rubber plantation, then we found a python 7 metres long.
